ART IS MY LIFE AND EVERY DAY BRINGS NEW CHALLENGES AND CREATIONS.

Not only do I do what interests me but I also see myself as being the “artistic hands” of my art consultants and designers.  I started painting professionally with the Phoenix Art Group in 1986 and I began to understand the vital link that contemporary artists provide for Interior Designers and their clients.  I did my undergraduate work in NY and earned a BS in 2-D Design. I experimented with several forms of fiber arts working in professional tapestry studios in NYC. In the mid-80’s I made the shift to painting tapestries rather than weaving them and that was the critical change. I translated my passion for textiles to the two-dimensional media of painting and it was revolutionary for me and my customers.  There seems to be an almost insatiable hunger for textiles and tapestries.  Regardless of subject matter; be it antique French Aubusson flourishes or Tuscan Villa chic the demand fortextile-inspired imagery continues to grow.

My paintings grace numerous corporate and residential collections across the globe. On a recent trip to India
I actually had dinner in a restaurant in Delhi with my prints looking down at me. Through my representation by the Art Publisher Winn Devon my work has been brought to the largest possible wordwide audience.

My newest series is All-Out Abstraction, instead of subject matter of any kind the story is color; layered rich color and more often than not I finish with a juicy coat of oil-based stains and varnishes to increase the reflectivity of those colors.

My studio is in a beautiful old brick warehouse that has been redone as loft spaces in the heart of San Diego California. My assistants and I are able to create artwork for your projects in any size and scale you can envision. Visit my new website, which is currently under construction, and feel free to contact me with your project ideas and to purchase artwork.
